Mi-17 Most Successful Helicopter?

A recent news blurb says that the Mi-17 may be the most successful helicopter of all time. The Russians have exported 3,500 of the export version of the Mi-17 helicopter to over 65 different countries. The Afghan Air Force will soon have 87 of the Mi-17s which conduct resupply, VIP transport, MEDEVACs, and personnel movements.
