Law Enforcement Professionals (LEPs) Aid Afghans
Law Enforcement Professionals or LEPs have been operating in Afghanistan for a long time. Their role has been critical - as conventional infantry units are not always well-versed in some of the aspects of counterinsurgency (such as working with the local police) as is required. The LEPs provide the expertise to ensure that evidence-based operations are conducted so that warrants can be issued and evidence collected that results in insurgents being properly targeted and prosecuted.
